• Amazon Distribution Centre; Moorebank NSW

  Amazon Distribution Centre comprises some 40,000sqm warehouse Gross Floor Area (GFA), ancillary office floor space, at-grade parking with 255 car spaces and extensive loading dock provisions.  PDC Consultants was engaged to prepare a Traffic & Parking Impact Assessment (TPIA) report to support a Development Application (DA) for the site to provide an additional car park with some 100 car spaces.  The TPIA included SIDRA Intersection traffic modelling to assess the performance of key intersections in the vicinity of the site under the DA. 

  PDC Consultants was also engaged to prepare a car parking audit for the site.  This included the preparation of Traffic Management Plan (TMP) drawings showing our recommendations to improve wayfinding, safety and efficiency of the car park and loading dock areas.

• PolAir Aircraft Hangar, Offices & Training Facility; Bankstown Airport NSW

  The new headquarters for NSW Police Aviation Support Branch (PolAir) comprising some 3,000sqm Gross Floor Area (GFA) of office and training facilities, and 7,500sqm GFA hangar for PolAir aircraft including helicopters and planes.  PDC Consultants was engaged to provide design advice relating to vehicular areas of the development, and to prepare numerous Construction Traffic Management Plan (CTMP) reports to facilitate construction of the development.  PDC Consultants was also engaged to prepare a Parking Design Compliance report  for the Construction Certificate.

• Horsley Drive Business Park; Wetherill Park NSW

  The Horsley Drive Business Park development comprises some 95,000sqm warehouse / office Gross Floor Area, new public road and new roundabout to facilitate access to the site.  PDC Consultants’ Director was engaged to prepare a Traffic & Parking Impact Assessment (TPIA) report for the Development Application (DA). 

  The TPIA included Paramics microsimulation traffic modelling to assess the traffic impact of the development on intersections within the vicinity of the site.  This involved collection and analysis of survey data, calibration and validation of the Paramics traffic model and consideration of various upgrade options to nearby intersections to facilitate the development.  The TPIA report included SIDRA Intersection traffic modelling of nearby intersections and consultation with Transport for NSW (TfNSW), particularly regarding the design of the site access and new roundabout onto Cowpasture Road.
