Miller Place, North Sydney
Supporting a connected and active urban vision
Miller Place contributes to the North Sydney CBD Domain Strategy 2020, aiming to create a safe, active, and connected network of urban spaces. The project focuses on enhancing city life by establishing a new character and providing a people-centric environment that connects the Victoria Cross Metro Station with the surrounding employment areas.
Comprehensive traffic and pedestrian assessment
PDC Consultants was engaged to prepare a Traffic Statement in support of the Project Definition Plan and a pedestrian design statement for the Victoria Cross Integrated Station Development (VCISD). Our work included identifying proposal opportunities and constraints, conducting high-level risk assessments, and evaluating the design of the proposed pedestrian walkway.
Ensuring seamless integration with Metro infrastructure
Our involvement in assessing pedestrian movements ensured that the project seamlessly integrated with the Metro station. The design sufficiently accommodates the significant pedestrian flows generated by the station, enhancing connectivity and accessibility within the urban precinct.
