Lachlan’s Line, Macquarie Park

A gateway to Macquarie Park’s future economic growth

Lachlan’s Line is a masterplanned community positioned as the gateway to the Macquarie Park employment corridor and business district, which is set to become one of NSW’s major economic hubs.

This innovative precinct combines high-density residential apartments with open spaces, recreational areas, and community facilities, offering a highly sustainable and affordable residential lifestyle in close proximity to employment and retail centres.

Exceptional accessibility and connectivity

The precinct is strategically located within 800 metres of North Ryde and Macquarie Park Metro Stations, serviced by the high-frequency Metro North West Line. It is also supported by several bus routes along key public transit corridors and a well-connected active transport network featuring footpaths and cycleways. The exceptional accessibility this provides underpins its sustainable design and integration with the broader transport network.

Collaborative design and assessment expertise

PDC Consultants has worked closely with the landowners, Landmark Group, to support the design coordination and assessment of modifications to the concept plan. Our efforts enabled an increase in gross floor area from approximately 82,000 m² to 98,000 m² by leveraging the site’s excellent public and active transport access to minimise impacts on the local road network.

Promoting sustainable travel and pedestrian accessibility

Our role also included assessments for subsequent Development Applications within the precinct. These assessments focused on encouraging sustainable travel modes, designing efficient loading docks, enhancing local bus infrastructure, and implementing public realm works to maintain safe and efficient pedestrian accessibility throughout the precinct.
