Glenellen solar farm

Powering sustainable energy for regional growth

Located in the Glenellen/Jindera area within the Greater Hume Council local government area, the Glenellen Solar Farm spans 300 hectares, situated two kilometres northeast of Jindera.

Comprising an estimated 394,000 solar panels, the farm is projected to produce approximately 260 MW of electricity, generating 400 GWh of renewable energy annually.

This output is enough to power the equivalent of 80,000 average NSW households, significantly reducing carbon emissions while creating jobs and stimulating economic growth in the region.

Comprehensive transport management for all project phases

In collaboration with Global Power Generation Australia, PDC Consultants delivered a comprehensive transport management plan to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the site throughout its construction, operation, and decommissioning phases.

This plan addresses critical logistics, including workforce transport, heavy vehicle movements, and protection of the local road network.

Enhancing road infrastructure for renewable energy delivery

Our team worked closely with the Department of Planning, Housing and Industry to meet stringent requirements for road upgrades, ensuring they supported the solar farm’s operations.

The plan documented measures for the orderly delivery of materials, safeguarding local infrastructure, and facilitating the sustainable movement of resources and workforce.

This collaboration ensures the long-term viability of transport systems supporting this renewable energy project.
