Eastwood shopping centre
A landmark transit-oriented development for Eastwood
Eastwood Shopping Centre is a cornerstone destination for the Eastwood community and the broader region. Situated within Wallamudegal Country, this $322-million redevelopment spans Rutledge Street, Rowe Street, and West Parade, serving as a gateway to the Eastwood Town Centre. Designed as a transit-oriented development, it offers essential services, enhances connectivity, and supports the thriving local community.
Delivering a dynamic community and retail hub
The development will feature 21,697 m² of commercial space, including two supermarkets and over 60 retail and restaurant tenancies across three levels, alongside 3,212 m² of shared community space. Additionally, 43,979 m² of residential space will provide 400 units, comprising a mix of one- to four-bedroom apartments. This project combines retail, residential, and community uses to create a vibrant, multi-functional hub.
Integrated transport solutions for a connected future
PDC Consultants worked closely with Henbon and AJC Architects to deliver expert transport advice, ensuring seamless integration of all transport modes across the site while fostering a pedestrian-friendly Town Centre environment. Addressing the challenges of a high-density development in a congested area, we collaborated with Council and Transport for NSW to develop a vehicular access strategy, including a new signalised intersection access point from the classified road network.
Enhancing place-based outcomes for the community
Our work ensures that the Eastwood Shopping Centre supports improved connectivity, facilitates efficient movement, and enhances the overall user experience. This project demonstrates the importance of coordinated planning to deliver tangible benefits for the community while contributing to the Eastwood Town Centre’s identity as a thriving, accessible destination.
